Graduate students to graduate in 2021:

In order to encourage graduates to follow the instruction of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, strive to practice the core socialist values, actively participate in the great socialist cause with Chinese characteristics with a correct employment and talent view and go to the grassroots, the west and the places where the motherland needs it most, and encourage graduates to play a better role in future jobs and make greater contributions to the party and the country, in combination with the requirements of CUG, the selection of excellent graduate students to graduate in 2021 is now carried out, and the specific affairs about the selection through public appraisal are hereby notified as follows:

I. Selection object

Excellent graduate students will be selected from the fresh graduates (including international students) with formal student status and graduation qualification.

II. Selection conditions

Set a good example and encourage the advanced students. Refer to Measures for Selection through Public Appraisal of Advanced Graduation Classes and Excellent Graduates of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Measures for Rewarding for Excellent Graduate Students, see Annex I for details.

1. Basic conditions for excellent graduates (graduate students)

Love the socialist motherland, support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, have good moral quality and acquired behavior, care for the collectiveness, have no violation of national laws and regulations, rules and disciplines of CUG, and have no initiative breach of employment agreement in principle, and have one of the following conditions:

(1) Actively respond to the national call for enlistment, or be voluntary to work in the western China, the hard, border and poor areas and the grassroots in the western China (excluding the backbone training plan for national minority).

(2) Actively participate in the admission by examination for national governance sequence (such as national and local civil servants, assigned graduates, village official plan and government-sponsored institution directly under the national ministries and commissions, excluding universities directly under ministries and commissions); Those who enter the inspection procedure are preferred.

(3) Actively participate in the selection of internships in international organizations; the interviewers are preferred;

(4) Excellent academic reports and comprehensive performance. These who had been appraised as excellent graduate party members, excellent graduate students and excellent graduate student cadres are preferred.

(5) Actively carry out entrepreneurial practice activities.

Excellent graduate students shall meet the basic conditions and satisfies one of Condition 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 above mentioned. Under the same conditions, priority shall be given to the graduates who are members of the graduate Committee and determine their employment destination.

At the same time, the fresh graduates who have been admitted to the national governance post through the examination, accepted for the internship in international organizations, started up their own businesses and completed the industrial and commercial registration are directly elected as excellent graduate students at CUG.

2. Conditions for direct election of excellent graduates (graduate students)

Full-time fresh graduates meet the basic conditions of excellent graduates (graduate students) and meet one of the following conditions:

(1) Being admitted by the national governance sequence (such as civil servants at national and local levels, assigned graduates, village officials and institutions directly under the national ministries and commissions, etc.).

(2) The internship of an international organization has been accepted.

(3) Start up a business and complete the industrial and commercial registration.

III. Quota

According to the requirements of CUG, the quota of excellent graduates should be controlled within 10% of the total of fresh graduates in principle. The principle of quota allocation the excellent graduate in this School is as follows:

Give priority to the members of the Committee under the same conditions; There is at least one place in each class.

IV. Selection organization

1. The selection work leading group is responsible for the overall organization and leadership of the selection. The specific selection is mainly determined by this School, with each class as a unit, and the evaluation team is composed of the members of the class graduate committee and the representatives of the classmates. Finally, this School will review and determine the publicity list, which will be reported to the selection work leading group of CUG for approval after this School has publicized it for 3 days without objection.

2. As to the individual elected as "excellent graduates", this School will confer the honorary title and commend the individual in the graduation ceremony, and published their advanced deeds in the website of the student employment and entrepreneurship guidance department. "Excellent graduates" will be awarded honorary certificates, and graduate students will be awarded bonuses. At the same time, "Registration Form for Excellent Graduates" will be filed in their archives.

3. Those who are evaluated as "excellent graduates" will be disqualified and deprived of honorary titles in case of serious breach of the rules and regulations of CUG before leaving the campus.

V. Selection requirements

1. The selection follows the principle of "openness, fairness and justice". Each class evaluation team shall carefully check the qualifications of the recommended objects, and carefully review the outstanding deeds of the recommended objects.

2. Time schedule and requirements on submittals: the materials of each class (Registration Form for Excellent Graduates, Excellent Deeds, Summary Table for Selection and Recommendation of Excellent Graduates) are collected, packaged and sent to the designated email 2356609367@qq.com. All materials (including attachments) are printed on A4 paper, and the deadline for submission is 12:00 on May 26. The selection object shall fill in Registration Form of Excellent Graduates (Annex 2) in detail, and attach the outstanding deeds of the selection object (after successfully selected). It is required to illustrate the outstanding deems for convenient publicity through websites, WeChat, electronic screens, etc. The deeds of excellent graduates are about 1,000 words (refer to Annex).

3. Those who meet the requirements of "direct election": are not required to participate in the in-class appraisal, and directly submit the application materials and collect them to the class. The application materials shall be accompanied with valid admission certificates (signed tripartite agreement, publicity of personnel examination network, or employment certificates issued by the unit, etc.).
