Zhuo Chenggang, born in March, 1968, professor
In July 1991, he graduated from the Department of Social Sciences of China University of Geosciences with a bachelor’s degree in law. In July 2008, he graduated from the School of Management, Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a doctorate in management. From September 2006 to September 2007, he studied at Texas State University as a government-sponsored visiting scholar for one year.
He offers Western Economics for undergraduates and Public Policy of Resources and Environment Management for postgraduates, and has been widely praised by students for his serious teaching attitude and satisfying teaching effect. After class, he organizes student research teams and offers instructions in accordance with their aptitude, to strengthen the cultivation of innovative talents. In the past 3 years, his student teams had won first and second prizes in the national challenge cup every year.
The research direction is the public policy of resources and environment, especially focusing on the research of resources policy with public characteristics. In recent years, he has published more than 10 research papers in Chinese Public Administration and other authoritative journals, presided over the projects supported by China Geological Survey and national geological survey, with scientific research funds of more than 2 million Yuan, and undertaken the soft science projects of the Ministry of Land and Resources and special projects of national public welfare industry and other scientific research projects, which achieved excellent social benefits.
