Wang Zhanqi

Wang Zhanqi, male, born in January 1965, native of Qishan, Shaanxi Province, PhD, postdoctoral, professor (T2), doctoral supervisor.

He is mainly engaged in the teaching and scientific research on land survey and evaluation, land economy and management, land use planning and other fields. He has presided over more than 80 projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub-subject of National Science and Technology Support Program and state land and resources survey, won two first prizes for excellent achievements of the Ministry of Land and Resources and two Third-class Awards for Progress in Science and Technology of Hubei Province, has successively published more than 100 academic papers in Sustainability, Advances in Meteorology and other journals indexed by SCI and some authoritative domestic journals, such as China Land Science, Resources Science and Economic Geography, and published  2 monographs. He offers 8 courses for undergraduates and postgraduates, such as Land Economics, Frontier of Land Science, and Theory and Method of Land and Resources Evaluation. He has presided over 1 provincial key teaching project and 2 university-level key teaching projects, won 1 second prize and 1 third prize of Teaching Achievement Award for Colleges and Universities in Hubei Province, and has been honored with the “Most Popular Teachers”, “Excellent Head Teacher”, “Graduate Student Mentor” and “Outstanding Achievement Award for Teachers” of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), as well as the first “Most Beautiful Social Scientist” in Hubei Province.

09/1997-01/2001: Doctor of Engineering, majoring in Mineral Resource Prospecting and Exploration of the School of Earth Resources of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan).

11/2001-06/2005: Postdoctoral research under Academician Yin Hongfu at the postdoctoral research center of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan).

10/2006-09/2007: Visiting and studying at York University, Canada.

10/1995-08/1998: Lecturer in the Teaching and Research Section of Resources, Environment and Division Management of the School of Earth Resources. Deputy director of the Teaching and Research Section from July 1997 to August 1998.

09/1998-08/2003: Associate professor and Deputy Director of the Land Resource Management Institute of the School of Earth Resources.

09/2003-09/2012: Director of the Department of Land Resources Management, professor, doctoral supervisor.

10/2012-10/2018: Deputy Dean of the School of Public Administration, professor, doctoral supervisor.
