Professor Wu Xinmu from Wuhan University Shared the Experience in Declaration for National Fund Programs

On the afternoon of Jan. 4, 2021, invited by Professor Li Shixiang, the department head of Public Administration, Professor Wu Xinmu from Wuhan University paid a visit to SPA to share his experience in declaration for national fund programs. The exchange meeting was presided by Professor Li Shixiang, the teachers including Liu Zhonglan, Qian Wenqiang, Huang Li in Department of Public Administration and the postgraduates and the doctoral student participated in this exchange meeting. Before the exchange meeting, Dean of SPA, Professor Wang Zhanqi interviewed Professor Wu Xinmu, thanked him for sharing the experience in declaration for national fund programs and directing the declaration for the national fund program, and urged again and again the teachers and the students in Department of Public Administration to consult with Professor Wu Xinmu.  

   At the meeting, Professor Wu Xinmu firstly told his own experience in the declaration for the national fund programs, and stressed that the declaration for the state-level programs should press close to the national guidelines and policies, deeply understand the central files and the spirits and seek for the reasonable topics. Secondly, as to the framework design, content writing, technical method and team building that may be concerned about in the process of the declaration for the national fund programs, Professor Wu fully shared his experience with the teachers and the students present at the meeting, pointed out that the declaration shall be written with correct methods and technology, avoid the simple enumeration of the methods and the contents, in particular, it should pay attention to the tracing, evaluation and analysis of the frontier issues of the research topics. Finally, Professor Wu exchanged with the teachers and the students with regard to the new ideas, new concepts and new changes in the declaration for the national social science fund programs. The onsite exchange atmosphere was dense and both teachers and students benefited much from it.  

A brief introduction to Professor Wu Xinmu: Professor Wu Xinmu has been engaged in the research on Chinese reform and development, regional planning and sustainable development. As a chief expert, he has presided and accomplished 13 national “seventh-five” key planning topics and key scientific research programs of at ministry-level, province-level and city-level, published 13 monographs and released over 300 academic papers. Among them, 7 fruits were awarded the prizes in scientific and technical advance. A batches of advisory reports have been adopted by the national, provincial and municipal authorities. He had acted as the standing committee member of the People's Congress of Hubei Province, a member of Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of People’s Congress of Hubei Province, a member of Advisory Committee of the People’s Government of Hubei Province and a member of Advisory Committee of the People’s Government of Wuhan City. Now he serves as the chairman and the legal person of Changjiang Conservation Foundation, distinguished expert of Hainan Institute of National Park and an appraisal member of Marxist Theoretical Engineering of the Ministry of Education.
