The Department of Land Resources Management Holds a Seminar on the Construction of First-Class Undergraduate Major in Land Resources Management

On the afternoon of July 17, the seminar on the construction of first-class undergraduate major in land resource management was held in the multi-functional teaching building in the East Quarter. Six experts from domestic first-class undergraduate major construction sites gathered together to give advice on how to give further play to the talent training advantages and to continuously improve the school running level of land resource management major in CUG.

Professor Hu Shougeng, Dean of the School of Public Administration, presided over the seminar. He first introduced the guests attending the seminar, including Ou Minghao, Vice Chairman of the Steering Committee on Public Administration Majors in High Education under the Ministry of Education and professor of the College of Public Administration of Nanjing Agricultural University, Liu Yaolin, Academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences and professor of the School of Resource and Environmental Sciences, Wuhan University, Professor Wu Qun, member of the Standing Committee of the Party committee and Director of the Organization Department, and Director of the Real Estate Research Center of Nanjing Agricultural University, Professor Qu Weidong from School of Public Administration and Policy, Renmin University of China, Professor Hu Yingen from School of Public Administration, Huazhong Agricultural University, and Professor Zhang Jianjun, Director of the Department of Public Policy of School of Land Science and Technology, China University of Geosciences (Beijing). Professor Wang Zhanqi of the Department of Land Resources Management introduced in detail the phased achievements of major construction and the main puzzles and bottlenecks faced at present. Subsequently, the experts fully affirmed the characteristics of the major and the outstanding achievements made in talent training, and exchanged on the overall requirements of the Ministry of Education on major and discipline construction, as well as how to break through the existing achievements and reach a new level in teaching staff, platform construction and internationalization level. Finally, Professor Zhang Jijun made a concluding speech.
