Outstanding Achievements of the Delegation of Law in 2021 National Environmental Resource Mock Court Competition for College Students

On Apr. 24-25, the major of law of this School organized a delegation to participate in 2021 National Environmental Resource Mock Court Competition for College Students in Jiangsu Judge Training College. National Environmental Resource Mock Court Competition for College Students was jointly sponsored by All-China Environment Federation, Collaborative Innovation Center of Judicial Civilization of National Program 2011 and Judicial Research Center for Environmental Resource of the Supreme Peoples Court and it was an important platform for mutual exchange and learning of the education and practice of environmental law in China.  

In order to make preparations for the competition, the major of law established the delegation including the postgraduates Zhang Ge and Han Bin and the undergraduates Zhu Yue, Pei Xinyu, Hong Jiahui, Luo Xiaoyu, Qi Kunwei and Teng Zijun after careful selection. Directed by Teacher Hu Zhonghua and Liu Qi, the delegation had made preparations for the competition over 3 months and accomplished the multiple training including analysis of the juridical relation of the rock case, writing of the legal instruments and onsite debate skills so as to participate in the competition in the groove.

In the onsite competition, the delegation contended with Wuhan University, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, East China University of Political Science and Law, Tianjin University and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and finally won the third prize of National Environmental Resource Mock Court Competition for College Students after intense mock court judgment. Teacher Hu Zhonghua won the Excellent Guide Teacher Award and Han Bin won the Excellent Player Award.

Since the 1st National Environmental Resource Mock Court Competition for College Students was held in 2012, the major of law in CUG has been participating in it over 10 years and this tradition has become an important way to cultivate and train the juristic thinking and debate ability of the students majoring the law. The National Environmental Resource Mock Court Competition for College Students boosted up the comprehensive ability of the students such as juristic analysis of the case, evidence use, legal interpretation, confrontational debate and writing of legal instruments and laid a solid foundation for becoming excellent professional environmental law talents.
