Professor Li Shixiang’s Team Awarded Second Prize of Hubei Development Research Award by The People’s Government of Hubei Province  

(Reported by Bai Jun) A few days ago, the People’s Government of Hubei Province announced the list of the winners of Hubei Development Research Award (2018-2019). The research findings of Professor Li Shixiang’s team, Research Report on Yangtze River Protection System and Mechanism in Hubei Province, won the Second Prize.  

The research findings, based on the major research fund program of Hubei Province in 2018, namely Research on Yangtze River Protection System and Mechanism in Hubei Province (LX201839) presided by Professor Li Shixiang, systemically summarized and sorted out the practical experience in carrying out Xi Jinping’s important instructions for “Joint Protection without Excessive Development” for Construction of Yangtze River Economic Belt by Hubei Province, and represented the related suggestions aiming at the problems and shortcomings.    The Deputy Party Secretary of Hubei Province made a written comment about the research findings, Hubei Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Changjiang Water Resources Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources and other department adopted the research findings for application.  

It is reported that review of Hubei Development Research Award is carried out once every two years and it is an important measure of the People’s Government of Hubei Province for fully mobilizing and gathering the social intellectual resources, bringing into play the think tank and serving the economic and social development in Hubei Province. In this review, totally 6 research findings were awarded the first prize, 20 research findings were awarded the second prize and 54 research findings were awarded the third prize.
