The Information Session of Duke Kunshan University Seminar was Held Smoothly

On March 16, the Department of Public Administration of our School held a admission information session for the master program of environmental policy in the new building. Liu Guohua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Professor Zeng Wei, Chairman of the Labor Union, Liu Zhonglan, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Public Administration, and a mass of students attended the information session. The admission information was mainly delivered by Dr. Wang Shuyi and the program admission officer Lu Yunfei from Duke Kunshan University.

They delivered a detailed introduction to the advantages of Duke Kunshan University, the application process, the employment destination, the bonus system and other related information. The admission program mainly focused on the research on environment and economy, environment and health, environment and protection, environment and policy, and was committed to make contributions to the environmental protection and improvement of China and even the world.

First, Duke Kunshan University was jointly founded by Duke University of the United States and China. As one of the top ten universities in the United States, Duke University had advanced school running philosophy and huge faculty, and was thus a broad platform for self-improvement in learning.

As a jointly-founded university of Duke University, the students could not only enjoy the same resources and graduation certificate, but could also study in the two universities separately, so it was definitely the best choice for studying abroad and expanding the vision.

Secondly, Duke Kunshan University followed the tradition of Duke University and adopted small class teaching mode, with no more than 20 students in each class, so as to maximize the teaching quality. Furthermore, the considerable teacher-student ratio provided students with better teaching and personalized employment guidance. The teaching system was two years, including both professional courses and a variety of optional courses. In the last semester, students could go to the United States for further study at Duke University. Among the graduates in 2019, the employment rate reached 100%.

After the introduction by speakers from Duke Kunshan University, Liu Zhonglan of the Department of Public Administration introduced the excellent conditions of Duke Kunshan University. She mentioned that she had visited the University with Secretary Liu, and the campus environment and teaching atmosphere of the University made her yearn for it.
