Learning Party’s History and Recalling Extraordinary Years, Accelerating Exchange and Strengthening Mission and Responsibility

--Party History Learning and Education Activity Held by School of Public Administration together with Urban Administration Law-Enforcement Team of Jiang’an District

(Reported by Li Shuhui) In order to deeply carry out the Party history learning, and education, guide the students in this school to learn the Party’s history, improve the ability, bravely assume the responsibility and dare to practice, School of Public Administration together with the Party Branch of Urban Administration Law-Enforcement Team of Jiang’an District held the Party history learning and education activity on Apr. 22. The Secretary of Party Committee Zhang Jijun, the Deputy Secretary of Party Committee Liu Guohua, the Chairman of Labor Union Zeng Wei, the Deputy Secretary of Youth League Committee Li Shuhui (presiding), all members of Class “Weigong” of Young Marxist Training Project, the members of the Party Branch of the undergraduate in Grade 2018, the representatives of the Party Branches, the members of May 4 Red Flag Youth League Branch in CUG, namely Class 173181 Youth League Branch and over 40 members of Urban Administration Law-Enforcement Team of Jiang’an District participated in this activity presided by Li Shuhui.

Firstly, all members sang March of the Volunteers.

Secondly, under the red Party flag and League flag, the present Party members and the League members reviewed the new member’s oath in a solemn atmosphere.  

Thirdly, Professor Gao Xianglian from School of Marxism gave a special Party lecture entitled the Original Aspiration and the Mission of Party from the Prospective of the Glorious Course of New-Democratic Revolution. Professor Gao reaffirmed the importance of Party history learning to all attendants. She pointed out that careful learning of “Four-History” could help us to strengthen the ideal and the faith in learning, implement the original aspiration in hard work. In addition, she also pointed that all Party members and League members should be reasonable, increase confidence, respect morals and earnestly practice it in the history learning. Professor Gao led all fellows to review the glorious course of Standing up of Chinese people and the Chinese Nation led by CPC from the convening of the First Conference of the CPC in 1921 to the founding of the People’s Republic of China, from the macro revolutionary course to the micro historical figures and from the representation of the historical events to the summary of the historical enlightenment. Through learning, all fellows felt that the red political power, the P.R. China and Socialism with Chinese Characteristics were hard-earned and felt pride of the prosperous and strong country.  

Fourthly, both the teachers and the students had an exchange of views on the urban administration and the undergraduate career planning. Headman Zhou of Urban Administration Law-Enforcement Team of Jiang’an District introduced the stories of the workers supporting Wuhan to fight against COVID-19 and providing the powerful logistics to the epidemic fighters in spring, 2020. He sighed with emotion: “After experiencing the epidemic, I deeply feel the superiority of the socialist system, I am proud of my contributions to the fight against the epidemic and expect the young undergraduates can integrate their knowledge with the national development. Welcome the undergraduates of School of Public Administration to contribute your wisdom and force to the urban administration of Wuhan City”. Yin Minghui, the representative of Class Weigong, Suo Yunlong and Jiao Zhenqi, the Party member of the Party branch of Grade 2018 undergraduates, in combination with their professional knowledge from Public Administration and Urban Management Science, had an exchange of views on how to better manage the city with the members of the law enforcement team. In an instant, the hotspots such as “stall economy”, “intelligent city” and “flexible law enforcement” were popped up, and the exchange of theory with practice produced the spark of thought. The students in School of Public Administration understood the practice of public administration was hard enened and the law-enforcement workers also felt the wisdom and the enthusiasm of the young undergraduates.

Finally, Urban Administration Law-Enforcement Team of Jiang’an District donated some materials for epidemic prevention and control such as respirators, alcohol and disinfectants. The Secretary of Party Committee Zhang Jijun said that the workers of Urban Administration Law-Enforcement Team worked hard for the good urban feature of Wuhan City and we were deeply grateful to them. Secretary Zhang stressed that the undergraduates should read ten thousand books and travel ten thousand miles as well. The Party history learning activity held by this School together with the law-enforcement team was a very good beginning. The undergraduates in this School should go out more to understand the national situation, conditions of the people and the situation of the community, put the knowledge into use and make their own contributions to becoming a modern youth suitable for the development of the new era.   

 Studying the Party's history, understanding its theories, doing practical work and making new advances. Looking back at the past and looking ahead, we must learn from Party’s history and pass on Party’s successful experience. The campaign on Party history learning and education among all of its members is a natural element of keeping the mission firmly in mind, promoting the great historical cause of China’s national rejuvenation, remaining firm in the belief and conviction, upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, further deepening self-reform and forever preserving its vitality.
