An Arrangement Meeting for Epidemic Prevention and Control in Holiday Held by SPA

In order to effectively prevent and control the varietal COVID-19 and its transmission and guarantee the normal teaching and health of the teachers and students,  this School held an arrangement meeting for epidemic prevention and control in holiday in the form of online and offline combination on the afternoon, Aug. 3. The administrative leaders of this School, the department heads and the secretaries of the departments, and the teachers directly under this School attended the meeting and Secretary Zhang Kuanyu chaired the meeting. At the beginning, Secretary Zhang Kuanyu briefly introduced the nationwide transmission of the varietal COVID-19, led the attendants to learn about the related documents recently released by the epidemic prevention and control leading group of CUG, passed on the spirits of the undergraduate education and teaching meeting in holiday presided by Vice President Wang Hua this morning and stressed the management regulations on the epidemic prevention and control in current situation. Secretary Zhang pointed out: with the epidemic spread and the imported cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia in Hubei Province, the epidemic were becoming more severe, the epidemic prevention and control was in wartime status, as a result, both teachers and students should know well of the urgency and complexity of the current epidemic prevention and control, firmly prevent the ideological vigilance and psychological off-chance, continue the effective practice and measures in anti-epidemic in last year and further perfect the prevention and control mechanism and strengthen the prevention and control force in the new complicated situation and practically guarantee the health of the teachers and the students in this School.

Deputy Secretary Liu Guohua introduced the practice for epidemic prevention and control by the students in holiday and their health, and Deputy Dean Wang Zhong introduced the practice of the undergraduates in the holiday. This School paid great attention to the epidemic prevention and control of the students, actively responded to the requirements of CUG on the epidemic prevention and control, strictly implemented the management regulations of CUG on the epidemic prevention and control, held the online meeting of the student backbones time and again, passed on the requirements on the epidemic prevention and control in time, emphasized the epidemic management rules, actively guided the students to calm down themselves, observe the local epidemic management regulations and do well in learning and epidemic prevention and control; as to the undergraduate and postgraduate practice activities, this School appointed the specially-assigned persons to take charge of the practice and fully guaranteed the normal practice and in-field safety of the students. At present, in order to respond to the new situation of the epidemic transmission and the new requirements on epidemic prevention and control, this School cut down some practice tasks and some practice activities were carried out online instead of offline.  The return of both teachers and students to the campus were in accordance with the regulations of CUG.  

Dean Hu Shougeng proposed specific requirements on the epidemic prevention and control. He stressed that all people should be more aware of the severe situation of epidemic prevention and control, continuously improve the political stance, upgrade the ideological cognition, do not slack off, strictly implement the management regulations of CUG, and the primary person in charge of Party Committee and Administration should be practically responsible for the leadership responsibilities; both teachers and students should more clearly understand the arduousness of the epidemic prevention and control, continuously perfect the normalized working mechanism for the epidemic prevention and control and bring into full play the role of the epidemic prevention and control leading group; each department should establish the corresponding working group according to the actual need, mobilize more teachers and students to actively participate in the epidemic prevention and control; at the same time, this School should bring into full play the characteristics of the majors, establish more perfect epidemic prevention and control response mechanism, unblock the information communication and feedback channel, do well in working pre-plan and manpower and materials guaranty and practically make clear the working responsibilities for the epidemic prevention and control, reasonable division of work, perfect mechanism and rapid response.   

Secretary Zhang Kuanyu made a concluding speech. He affirmed the recent epidemic prevention and control and gave thanks to all teachers and students for their support to the epidemic prevention and control. He pointed out that this School established relatively good working mechanism and protection system for the epidemic prevention and control, possessed relatively rich experience in the epidemic prevention and control. Confronted with the new situation, this School would actively respond to the management requirements of CUG, continue the effective practice, adopt the better practice of the fellow universities for reference, practically guarantee the normal education and teaching. He stressed that the epidemic was the order, all teachers should undertake their own responsibilities, take the lead, mobilize the forces of the whole School and form the resultant force of epidemic prevention and control; actively strengthen the education on the epidemic prevention and control of the students, enhance the care for the students and mental health education, lead the students to observe the management requirements and further cultivate the overall situation concept of the students in the epidemic; do well in health management of teachers and students and fulfill the responsibilities for epidemic prevention and control, appoint the specially assigned person to take charge of the health information statistics and report and smoothen the information communication and feedback channel; make the epidemic management pre-plan for the practice, education and emergency management practically in an all-round way and establish a rapid long-term response mechanism.
