One Gold Medal and One Silver Medal! Cugers, YYDS!

Badminton Mixed Doubles in Olympics Tokyo,

Came on A wonderful Derby match among Cugers!

Wang Yilv, a postgraduates in School of Sports and Physical Education in Grade 2018 and his partner Huang Dongping won the champion!  

Zheng Siwei, an alumnus from School of Public Administration in Grade 2017 and Huang Yaqiong, an alumnus in Grade 2015 won the second place!   

Cugers won the 18^th gold medal and the 9^th silver medal for

China Delegation!

Congratulations on the combination of Wang Yilv and Huang Dongping, and Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong!

3 Cugers, Wang Yilv, Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong, were coached by Zou Shisi, a badminton coach from School of Sports Science and Physical Education of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). Zou Shisi had won the champion of Women's Badminton Doubles of International Universities' Games. She told the reporter that Wang Yilv, Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong were enrolled by CUG with excellent examination results, with excellent accomplishments and moral character, and were sunny and youthful.  

“Bedminton has been always the traditional advantageous game in School of Sports Science and Physical Education”. Zou Shisi said that these three persons had taken part in the large-sized matches on behalf of CUG. Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong had taken part in the games on behalf of CUG, such as China Universities’ Badminton Championship and International Universities’s Games, and won the champions; Wang Yilv had won the second place in the International Universities’ Games on behalf of CUG. Zou Shisi had participated in these games as the coach. She said that these three persons took part in the games in Tokyo and made so great achievements, she was very excited, pleasant and proud.  

Yesterday, the combination of Wang Yilv and Huang Dongping and the combination of  Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong entered into the finals and locked the champion and the second place of the badminton mixed doubles in advance
