Academic Reports Delivered by Professor Wu Kening from China University of Geosciences (Beijing) and Professor Wu Qun from Nanjing Agricultural University
On the morning of July 18, at the invitation of Dean Hu Shougeng, Professor Wu Kening from School of Land Science and Technology of China University of Geosciences (Beijing) and Professor Wu Qun from School of Public Administration of Nanjing Agricultural University delivered academic reports to teachers and students of our School at the Key Laboratory of Legal Evaluation of Natural Resources in North Campus.
Professor Wu Kening gave a report titled “General Rules for Gradation and Classification on Natural Resources” (hereinafter referred to as the “General Rules”). Starting from the background and significance of the “General Rules” formulated by the Ministry of Natural Resources, he systematically explained the main ideas and contents of agricultural land gradation and classification oriented at natural resource development, utilization and protection objectives, focusing on the ideas and technical methods of cultivated land gradation and classification as well as the main problems faced by the utilization of cultivated land resources in China, and inspired students to think about how we should protect precious cultivated land resources from reality.
The report delivered by Professor Wu Qun was “Transformation of Urban Green Development under the Thought of Ecological Civilization”. From the systematic analysis and summary of Xi Jinping’s Thoughts on ecological civilization, he analyzed the main theories of city green development and the main practices of typical city abroad. Finally, based on the urban traditional development direction, he put forward five transformation and development paths, such as GDP-GEP dual wheel drive, GDP-GEP two-way transformation, ecological Industrialization and industrial ecology, which provided new ideas for the present teachers and students to deeply think about the construction of ecological civilization as the combination of national development strategy and academic frontier issues.
The academic activity was presided over by Professor Wang Zhanqi of the Department of Land Resources Management, and was broadcast live by Tencent Meeting. More than 100 teachers and students attended the on-site report and exchange.
