The Lecture on Anti-Fraud Safety Knowledge for Freshmen of Grade 2021 of School of Public Administration was Successfully Held
On the morning of September 9, 2021, the special lecture on safety knowledge for college students was successfully held in the lecture theatre on the first floor of No. 1 teaching building. Wang Dong, the second-class police officer of Yujiashan Police Station, Peng Guanjun, deputy director of Security Department, Tian Hanxing, the chief of Public Security Section I, and Zhang Wei, member of the section were specially invited to the lecture. Liu Guohua, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, Li Shuhui, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee, Wang Qingtao, counselor of graduate students, all undergraduate students of Grade 2021 and some graduate students of Grade 2021 attended the lecture.
At the beginning of the lecture, Secretary Liu Guohua explained the harmfulness of fraud cases to everyone, and stressed that he hoped that through this lecture, students’' vigilance and identification could be improved, and the occurrence of telecommunication fraud could be prevented.
Next, police officer Wang Dong introduced several common fraud methods through examples.
He first introduced the fraud of posing as QQ friends and the fraud of "campus loan". Starting from several typical cases in recent years, he explained in detail the specific ways of these frauds, and reminded the students to be vigilant. Before remittance, we must confirm the identity of the other party by telephone.
Then, police officer Wang Dong cited specific cases happening around us, and introduced fraud types such as pretending to be website customer service fraud, fake transaction fraud, buying and selling game accounts and equipment fraud, naked chat fraud, fraud by pretending to be a state public security organ, etc., and analyzed the causes of fraud cases, which once again deepened the students’ understanding of fraud cases and raised their awareness of prevention.
Finally, police officer Wang Dong hoped that the students could improve their vigilance, strengthen their vigilance, and consciously establish a sense of security and law-abiding in their daily life, so as to stay away from telecommunication network fraud.
After the lecture on preventing telecommunication network fraud, Peng Guanjun, deputy director of Security Department, also reminded the students of some safety precautions in school, such as theft prevention, fraud prevention, fire prevention, traffic safety and epidemic prevention and control. He hoped the students would always be alert to all kinds of potential safety hazards in their lives and tighten their ideological strings.
At the end of the lecture, Secretary Liu Guohua expressed his gratitude to Police Officer Wang Dong and Director Peng for their wonderful speeches, and once again stressed that students must be vigilant, guard against telecommunication network fraud and various potential safety hazards in their lives, and earnestly “know the responsibility and protect themselves”. This lecture on safety knowledge was successfully concluded with warm applause from the students.
