Director Wang Xiaolong thanked Dean Hu Shougeng for his welcome, and introduced the establishment process and main work undertaken by the Government Services and Big Data Administration. Director Wang emphasized, “Since the establishment of the Administration, we have carried out positive reforms and explorations in the fields of government service and administrative examination and approval, and achieved a large number of innovative achievements. However, due to insufficient research ability, we failed to systematically summarize and sort out practical experiences, resulting in the lack of outstanding theoretical achievements, and the social influence should be further enhanced. Moreover, as the reform continues to deepen, the reform of government services and administrative approval has entered the stage of "overcoming difficulties", and the resistance to further reform is getting bigger and bigger. We hope that your expert team can help us summarize the good practices in practice, and help us diagnose the difficulties and pain points in our work, so as to provide reasonable policy support for the subsequent reform.”
Professor Li Shixiang, head of the Department of Public Administration, reported the “Discussion Outline(Main Cooperation Intention) between School of Public Administration of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and the Government Services and Big Data Administration of East Lake High-tech Development Zone”, and proposed that our School and the Government Services and Big Data Administration of East Lake High-tech Development Zone could cooperate in off-campus internship practice for teachers and students, on-the-job diploma education and skills training, research on deepening the examination and approval system reform in the field of engineering construction, and building Optics Valley Digital Research Institute.
