The School Holds a Grade Conference for Undergraduate of Grade 2019

In order to guide undergraduates of Grade 2019 more scientifically to know more about postgraduate entrance examination, recommended exam-free postgraduate candidate, going abroad, joining the army, employment, etc., and to further clarify the growth and development path in the university stage and clarify their development ideas according to their own situation, the School held a grade conference in the Classroom 207 of No. 3 Teaching Building on the afternoon of October 21. Mr. Liu Guohua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School and Counselor of Grade 2019, Zhu Yue, Yu Jianing, Suo Yunlong and Yuan Keyi, four seniors who successfully passed the entrance examination or were recommended for master study, and all undergraduates of Grade 2019 attended the conference. The conference was hosted by Mr. Liu Guohua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School.

At the beginning of the conference, Deputy Secretary Liu Guohua emphasized the disciplinary requirements. He asked everyone to turn off or mute their cell phones, listen attentively and record the experiences shared by the seniors, so that they could eally gain the substantive content suitable for themselves. After a brief introduction to Zhu Yue, Yu Jianing, Suo Yunlong and Yuan Keyi, four students from different majors of our School, he left the podium for them to share their experiences in study, work, postgraduate entrance examination, postgraduate recommendation and so on.

Zhu Yue, a 2021 graduate student in civil and commercial law, firstly shared her college study life and her experience in postgraduate entrance examination. She put forward five obligations that college students should fulfill, and shared her basic information, what I was doing in my junior year, how to coordinate life and work, the postgraduate entrance examination and personal suggestions. She talked about how she coordinated her study, student work and life through time planning, emphasized the importance of independent thinking, and had a more in-depth exchange on the preparation time for postgraduate entrance examination, the direction of school selection and preparation, mental preparation, physical preparation, etc. She especially emphasized the importance of participating in the fall recruitment, and sent her good wishes.

Subsequently, Yu Jianing, a master student majoring in land resources management of Grade 2021, shared her views on whether or not to take the postgraduate entrance examination, choosing a better university, data collection, study arrangement and problems encountered with the topic of "Finding the right position to take the initiative". She analyzed the current situation of postgraduate entrance examination, how to correctly understand the postgraduate entrance examination, the information to be collected, study materials collection channels, experience posts collection channels, how to find key exam content, how to form a knowledge framework and other aspects. She told the students that they should keep a sensible mind in the course of the examination, develop good study habits in their daily study and look forward to achieving their goals through their own efforts.

Then, Suo Yunlong, majoring in 173181 Public Service Management, shared his study, work and postgraduate recommendation experience with the main line of preface (basic situation), foundation stone (academic achievement), mentality (course of postgraduate recommendation) and suggestions (two balanced pairs). He believed that self-orientation must be clear, different orientations determined different future development directions, and academic performance was extremely important. He gave some advice on personal resume and CET-4 and CET-6, explained his own course and preparation for postgraduate recommendation, and made a detailed analysis on different ways of postgraduate recommendation. He believed that each of us would run towards our own goals and future, just let go and fight, whether you were taking postgraduate entrance examination, applying for postgraduate recommendation qualification or a conservator or finding a job in the near future, you would have your own tomorrow.

Finally, Yuan Keyi, majoring in 172182 Administrative Management, shared her experience in postgraduate recommendation with the main axes of pre-storage, kick-off, summer camp, and pre-recommendation/recommendation in September. She said that postgraduate recommendation was a protracted war, and reiterated to everyone the importance of CET-4 and CET-6, IELTS TOEFL and spoken English. She hoped everyone could participate in these competitions and exercise themselves in various competitions. She gave some advices on the direction of scientific research and publication of papers, and shared the contents of knowing the bottom line and goals clearly, collecting and sorting information, preparing a series of personal materials in advance, and daring to try to participate in summer camps. She believed that, if you don't deny yourself and keep in a good mood and work hard, all the past will shape the present you and the future you.

After sharing their personal experiences, the four seniors also interacted on some issues of concern to the students, and the students at the meeting benefits a lot from the contents shared.

     As the second part of the conference, Deputy Secretary Liu Guohua summarized with the theme of "Commitment, Inspiration and Action". He emphasized that the junior year is an important watershed of university life or even affecting the future individual development. The current state of each person and development goals are different, the conference is not only a bridge of mutual learning, a hammer, a pep talk, but also a joint endeavor. Everyone must strictly abide by the discipline requirements on epidemic prevention and control, leave from Wuhan, fire prevention, theft prevention, fraud prevention, staying away from bad campus loans, examination style and discipline. He repeatedly emphasized the importance of academic performance, the importance of improving overall quality, and the importance of the substantial difference between postgraduate recommendation and postgraduate entrance examination in various forms, such as videos, pictures, data, documents, books, testimonials, etc. He believed that the experience of postgraduate entrance examination is the process of whether you can really fight a good "information war, psychological war, and lasting war", analyzed the number of people who have taken the examination and the admission statistics in recent years, interpreted the main sprit of six documents, such as "Work Plan of the University for 2022 Undergraduate Graduates Recommended for Master Study", the "Implementation Rules of the School for  2022 Undergraduate Graduates Recommended for Master Study", and briefly introduced the 17 books involved in preliminary examinations and retests for each major in our school, hoping that all the partners could really find the right stage, guide accurately, give priority to landing, realize their dreams, give an account of their future according to what they really want, and dive across to achieve the development goals in their hearts.

  The conference was successfully concluded with the inspirational song “A Vigorous Aspiration In My Mind”, which was full of great ambition.
