An Appointment Ceremony for Chen Hai as A Part-time Professor in This School

(Reported by Fang Fang) On October 28, an appointment ceremony for Chen Hai as a part-time professor was held in this School. Chen Hai, is the chairman of Guangxi Alumni Branch and the president of Guangxi Bangyang Mining Group. Chen Huarong, Director of Alumni and Social Cooperation Department, Hu Xiao, Deputy Director of Alumni and Social Work Department, Zhang Kuankuan, Party Secretary of School of Public Administration, Hu Shougeng, Dean of School of Public Administration, Wang Zhong, Deputy Dean of School of Public Administration, Liu Guohua, Deputy Party Secretary of School of Public Administration, Zeng Wei, Chairman of Trade Union, Professor Zeng Kefeng, and Professor Zhang Hongfei of School of Earth Sciences attended the ceremony. The appointment ceremony was presided over by Deputy Dean Zhong Wang.

A symposium was held after the appointment ceremony.

Professor & Dean Hu Shougeng, briefly introduced the development history, talents training, discipline construction, faculty and the 14^th Five-Year development plan to Professor Chen Hai and his fellows.

Party Secretary Zhang Kuanyu introduced the characteristics of this School and its gratifying achievements in the field of scientific research in public administration in recent years. He pointed out that the appointment of Mr. Chen Hai as a part-time professor had further enriched and expanded the faculty of this School, and had taken an important step in promoting the reform and innovation of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. He hoped that Professor Chen Hai would give full play to his advantages and influence, play a key role in the teaching and research of this School, share high-quality resources and achieve a win-win situation for both parties.

In his speech, Professor Chen Hai said that it was both an honor and a responsibility to become a part-time professor in School of Public Administration in his Alma Mater. He would actively exert his energy, build a communication bridge between this School and the locality, and do a good job in teaching and postgraduate guidance, so as to contribute to the development of CUG and this School.
