The Opening Ceremony and Welcome Party for New Students of Grade 2021 Ended Successfully

On the evening of October 30, the opening ceremony and welcome party for new students of Grade 2021 of our school were held in the studio on the second floor of the Student Activity Center.

Professor Hu Shougeng, Dean of the School, Professor Cai Huilian and Associate Professor Wang Zhong, Deputy Deans of the School, Mr. Liu Guohua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Mr. Liu Zhonglan, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Public Administration, Mr. Zhou Xuewu, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Land Resources Management, class teacher representatives Song Dongdong, Chen Xing, Zhang Shiju and Qian Wenqiang, teachers Wang Zhanqi, Xu Feng and Liu Zhiling, Wu Bo, Wang Qingtao and Wang Xinyu, counselors of the student affairs leading group, part-time counselors Liang Shuying, Tu Sihuan and Zhang Luyao, assistant class teachers and all freshmen of Grade 2021 attended this event. The opening ceremony was hosted by Prof. Cai Huilian, Deputy Dean of the School.

At the beginning of the opening ceremony, all students and teachers stood up and sang the National Anthem of the People's Republic of China.

Yang Guang from class 17G214 spoke as a representative of new students. He shared with the students how they should spend a rich and wonderful college life, and called on them to learn to know, learn to do and learn to behave, to live up to their youth, to live up to their youthfulness, and to create the "Nanwang" time belonging to our young people of today.

Mr. Song Dongdong, class teacher of 171211 of the Department of Law spoke as the representative of freshman class teachers. He said that the university was only the beginning of our long road of life and our pursuit was to do our best. We should uphold the spirit of the university motto of "hardworking and plain-living, being realistic and pragmatic", believe that "the sharp edge of the sword comes from sharpening, the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from bitter cold", and sharpen ourselves in study, student work and life. Finally, he encouraged all students with the poem "Don't let the floating clouds cover your eyes, but keep your ambition high", hoping that they would gain a strong personality and calm confidence, and write a beautiful poem in life.

Professor Hu Shougeng, Dean of the School, presented the appointment letter to undergraduate class teachers of Grade 2021 and delivered a speech.

Mr. Hu extended a warm welcome to all the students and a heartfelt thank you to the teachers who have worked so hard to nurture the talents of our country. He introduced to the students in detail the disciplinary advantages and faculty strength of the school, and promised that the school would seize the opportunity, advance the layout, adhere to the core of educating people and the fundamental of establishing morality, to vigorously cultivate a high-quality faculty team with political correctness, noble moral character, exquisite work, excellent style and strict discipline. He hoped that students would remember the original mission, achieve the unity of knowledge and action, develop comprehensively, take the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation as their mission, and strive to become excellent answerers on the way to catch up with the examination. At the same time, he hoped that the students would set up ambitious ambitions, be determined to struggle, take struggle as the brightest color of youth, and highlight the value of life with youthful ideals.

After the opening ceremony, the Welcome Party for Grade 2021 started.

The moving dance "Dancing Youth" by the dance team of the school opened the party, and their flying dance steps made the whole venue overflowing with youthful vigor. After that, class 17G211 brought the program "Youth without Limits". Passionate youth needed to be flaunted, and jumping up was the best interpretation of the spirited youth.

The passionate dance "Do you want to dance in the love river of New Treasure Island?" by Class 15212 made people feel the fire-like youthfulness, and won the audience's applause. "Be still, all the flowers bloom ......" Class 17G214 brought the moving chorus "Sea of Flowers". Next, Class 175211 brought the cup dance chorus "Fragrance of Rice", they sang while beating the beat, making the audience feel the charm of music in the simplicity.

At the end of the first chapter, teachers Chen Xing, Qian Wenqiang, Xu Feng, Liu Zhiling took the first round of lucky draw as guests. A total of nine third prize winners were drawn and one exclusive mug was given to each of them.

The party entered the second chapter. The G dance group brought the dance "The First Day of Dancing", showing the dazzling dance in front of the audience. If dance is the poetry of the body, poetry is the dance of language - the drama recitation performance "Time and Space - China" brought by the Host Club of the School of Public Administration made us deeply appreciate the hard-won success of the prosperous China. And then the "Young China " brought by Class 177211 fully showed us the vigorous youthfulness of contemporary teenagers.

The dance "Lovelorn Apples Blowing All over the Ground" brought by the students of Class 17G212 was a dance of popular songs with the style of youthful splendor, presenting a brand-new visual experience for the students. After that, the song "Yark Rong Dunk Dunk + Appeal to All" brought by the graduate students showed the beautiful melody to everyone and made everyone hum in unison.

The second part came to an end, and the party came to the exciting lucky draw. Professor Zhou Xuewu, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Land Resources Management, and Associate Professor Liu Zhonglan, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Public Administration, drew and revealed the six lucky winners of the second prize.

In the third chapter, the stage play "DALABENGBA", brought by the class league organizations and the student union, combined the stage play with the chorus in a novel way, which set off a new climax of the party; and with the familiar cartoon soundtrack playing, the "Dance of Pleasant Goat and Landlord" of Class 171211 brought everyone back to their joyful childhood.

The musical skit "Seeking Starlight" brought by Class 17G213 portrayed the chaser in the role of a seeker, and portrayed the quality of the main character who persevered for a little starlight to the fullest. We were all dear travelers with the wind. Today's youthful ramblings gradually came to an end in the chorus of "The wind is up" by the students of Class 178211, and the gentle flow of the beautiful melody gave us the power to heal.

In the exciting final round of the lucky draw, Professor Wang Zhanqi, a doctoral supervisor, drew and presented prizes. Three first prize winners were selected in this round of the lucky draw.

In the awarding session of class program rating, the host read out the winning classes of the first, second and third prizes of the party. Class 171211 won the best popularity award, and Class 171211, 17G211 and 175212 won the first, second and third prizes respectively. Mr. Wang Qingtao and Deputy Secretary Liu Guohua presented the awards and took a group photo with the representatives of the winning classes.

Finally, the host announced that the party was successfully concluded, and all teachers and performers took a group photo on stage. At this point, the party officially drew to a successful conclusion.

The party not only fully demonstrated the students' self-elegance, but also showed the vigor and high spirits of our students. May all the students of our school have ideals and responsibilities and pursue their aspirations with youthful self.
