The Research Group of “China Survey” Project of Hubei Federation of Social Science Circles Chaired by Prof. Li Shixiang Went to Ezhou to Carry out Research Activities on the Theme of Practicing "Two Mountains Theory"

(Correspondents: Meng Bailin, Wan Fangwenning) From November 2 to 4, the research group of "Study on the Practice and Exploration of Two Mountains Theory in Ezhou" of the "China Survey" project of Hubei Federation of Social Science Circles chaired by Professor Li Shixiang of our school, in combination with the activity of "Provincial Social Science Experts Travelling in Cities and Counties" of Hubei Federation of Social Science Circles, formed a team of experts from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Wuhan University, Central China Normal University, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and Hubei Federation of Social Science Circles, led by Professor Cheng Jinhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, to visit Ezhou City for research activities on the theme of practicing the "Two Mountains Theory".

Before the visit, the research group had a discussion with the Propaganda Department of Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, Municipal Bureau of Ecological Environment, Municipal Bureau of Water Resources and Lakes, Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Development, Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Municipal Bureau of Statistics, Municipal Bureau of Local Finance, Municipal Federation of Social Sciences and other relevant units to grasp the overall situation of Ezhou in practicing the "two mountains" theory, exploring ecological value engineering and innovating the path of ecological value realization, and to understand the problems and innovative measures in promoting ecological civilization governance in Ezhou. Zhu Qimin, Standing Committee Member of Ezhou Municipal Committee, Minister of Organization Department and Minister of Propaganda Department, attended the symposium.

After the symposium, the research group visited Liangzi Lake Ecological Scenic Area, Ezhou Huahu Airport, Gedian Development Zone Big Health Industrial Park, Yue Shihong Village in Echeng District and Ezhou Huarong Taiwan Farmers' Entrepreneurship Experimental Park and other places. Liu Rong, Vice Minister of Propaganda Department of Municipal Party Committee, Wan Dongfeng, and Tong Changjiang, Chairman of Municipal Federation of Social Science, accompanied the research.

In recent years, Ezhou City has always taken innovation and practice of "two mountains" theory as an important mission and responsibility, the green development and ecological civilization construction as an important task, the construction of ecological cities, Jiangnan beautiful field city as the goal, to vigorously promote the construction of ecological civilization and to make continuous system innovation and practice exploration in green economic development, ecological products value realization and ecological environmental protection, and has achieved positive results.

Through in-depth research, the research group of "provincial social science experts traveling in cities and counties" in Ezhou summarized and discussed the effective mechanism and practice mode of how to turn "green water and green mountains" into "golden silver mountains" in Ezhou, so as to give birth to more ecological civilization innovation results and serve the scientific decision-making of Ezhou municipal government and promote the high-quality development of Ezhou.
