Recently, the Cultivated Land Protection and Supervision Division of the Ministry of Natural Resources sent a letter of thanks to Prof. Tang Jian and Prof. Hu Shougeng for their hard work in the study of cultivated land protection legislation, and to our university and the School of Public Administration for their strong support.
The CPC Central Committee and the State Council put forward higher requirements for the protection of cultivated land under the new situation and issued a document on "resolutely curbing the non-farming of cultivated land and strictly controlling the non-grain of cultivated land". In order to implement the instructions of the leading comrades of the Central Government, the Ministry of Natural Resources carried out the legislative work on cultivated land protection and invited our Professor Tang Jian and Professor Hu Shougeng to participate in the study.
During the study, Prof. Tang Jian was responsible for the discussion of the articles on the balance of cultivated land occupation, cultivated land protection and restoration, permanent basic farmland protection, and compensation incentives for cultivated land protection, as well as drafting and writing the special study report. Professor Hu Shougeng participated in the special panel discussion on cultivated land protection legislation, and offered advice on cultivated land protection from the perspectives of differential occupation compensation balance and comprehensive development.
Prof. Tang Jian and Prof. Hu Shougeng worked hard and fulfilled their tasks with high quality, showing solid professionalism and rigorous work attitude, and they were recognized and praised by the Cultivated Land Protection and Supervision Division of the Ministry of Natural Resources.
