“Five-Sending” Benefiting Activities in Yingshan by CUG

　　CUG News (Reported by Cao Yang and Zhang Dongkai, Photographed by Zhao Ping and Hu Xueli) In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and in combination with the practical activities of "I do practical things for the masses" in Party history study and education, on December 3, our University went to Yingshan County, a demonstration site of "theoretical hotspots face to face" in Hubei Province, to carry out the activities of sending theory, sending law, sending technology, sending culture and sending wealthy information to the people.

　　At 10:00 am, the "Five-Sending" activity was launched. More than 200 people attended the launching ceremony, including Hu Qiuchun, a first-class researcher of the Lecture Group of Hubei Provincial Party Committee, Chu Zuwang, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Director of Propaganda Department of CUG, Ruan Yifan, the Dean of School of Marxism, other professors and experts, Tong Bi, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Director of Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of Yingshan County, as well as relevant officials of Hongshan Town.

　　Sending culture, warming the countryside with cultural performance

　　After the launching ceremony, the “Sending Culture” cultural performance started. On behalf of CUG, Ruan Yifan presented books to Hongshan Town and the middle school. The cultural performance was jointly organized by Yu Min, Yu Lei and other teachers and students from the School of Arts and Communication and Hongshan Town. Songs such as "Motherland, the Loving Mother", "I Love You China" and "Fellow Countrymen" sang the deep attachment to the motherland and firm belief in following the party. Traditional musical instruments such as Guzheng, flute, solo piano, Erhu were full of lingering sounds, which bloom the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage. The square dance performance, an interactive program of the people in Hongshan Town, pushed the activity atmosphere to a climax. The cultural performance came to an end with the chorus of "Song of Exploration Crew" sung by our teachers and students. The passionate songs and beautiful orchestral music attracted the audience, won bursts of applause, and brought a spiritual and cultural feast to the people of Hongshan Town.

　　Sending theory, face-to-face preaching to gather people

In the auditorium of Hongshan Town, Wang Zongtian, the doctoral supervisor of the School of Marxism, made an in-depth interpretation of the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee from three aspects, namely, the great achievements, historical significance and historical experience of the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s century-long struggle, and concluded with "responding to the call of the Party Central Committee" to encourage the party members and cadres in Hongshan Town.

　　In Hongshan Town Middle School, Song Lanlan, a doctoral student of School of Marxism, faced the students, with the theme of "studying and implementing the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee in depth", interpreted the general situation, important achievements and core essentials of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee.

　　In order to let the party's latest theory fly into the homes of ordinary people, three young teachers from the School of Marxist, Cao Yang, Huilin Wang and Wang Xiaonan, led 24 postgraduates to seven administrative villages, such as Banqiao Village, Pingfeng Village and Wuyunshan Village, to give home lectures. In the process of preaching, teachers and classmates went deep into the fields, walked into farmers' homes, understood the ideological trends and living conditions of the masses, and interpreted the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee in a manner that ordinary people can understand.

　　Sending law, practical interpretation to open the people's wisdom

　　In Hongshan Town Middle School, Associate Professor Xia Yunjiao of School of Public Administration gave a detailed legal lecture to junior high school students in Hongshan Town Middle School with the theme of "Law with Us, Being a Disciplined and Law-abiding Youth in the New Era" from the aspects of what is discipline and law, why should we obey the law, the consequences of not obeying the law, and how to obey the law, giving students a lively legal lesson and enhancing their legal awareness.

　　Sending technology, peer-to-peer guidance to strengthen confidence

　　In the auditorium of Hongshan Town, Associate Professor Yang Shengfu of the School of Public Administration, with the theme of "Practice and Thinking of County Territorial Spatial Planning in the Context of High-Quality Development", explained how to effectively carry out county territorial spatial master planning by showing videos and explaining cases and taking Minquan County as a practical case, and provided reference suggestions for optimizing the allocation of territorial resources and empowering high-quality development in Yingshan County.

　　Sending wealthy information, help with sincerity

　　In the playground of Zhangjiafan Primary School, teachers and students of CUG used publicity panels and on-site Q&A to popularize scientific and technological knowledge and information on getting rich, which attracted many people to stop and watch. In order to better pass on the experience, our postgraduate team and the volunteers of Party members and cadres of Hongshan Town went into the village and households together, explaining the knowledge of live e-commerce to the farmers in need, helping them understand more information about getting rich and helping to empower rural revitalization.

　　It is reported that since CUG paired up with Yingshan County to build the demonstration site, the "Face-to-Face Theoretical Hotspots" demonstration site has relied mainly on the School of Marxist, integrated the multi-disciplinary forces of CUG, organized teachers and students to participate together, and focused on theoretical lectures, cultural performances and getting rich through science and technology, and sent the latest theoretical achievements of the Party and national development achievements directly to the fields and farmers' homes, which was warmly welcomed by local people and was awarded as an excellent demonstration site in Hubei Province for five consecutive years. The research team has been rated as the excellent research team of college students in Hubei Province for many times, and the report submitted has been rated as the excellent research report of demonstration sites for face-to-face theoretical hotspots in Hubei Province for five consecutive years. In the future, under the leadership of the Propaganda Department of Hubei Provincial Party Committee and under the guidance of the Hubei Lecturer Group, CUG will continuously improve the theoretical preaching ability and level, continuously strengthen the intelligence and talents output, and make the party's theory better implement in the homes of ordinary people and make greater contributions to local economic and social development.
