School of Public Administration Holds the Leadership Theory-Discussing Meeting for the Spring Semester of 2022

(Reported by Li Jijie) The year 2022 is the key year for the implementation of the “14th Five-Year Plan” of the School. In order to further unify ideas and form synergy to ensure a good start and a good beginning in 2022, the School held a leadership theory-discussing meeting for the spring semester of 2022 on the morning of Feb. 16 in Conference Room 227 of the North No. 1 Teaching Building. Zhang Kuanyu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Dean Hu Shougeng and members of the leadership team and the chairman of the labor union attended the meeting, and relevant staff of the comprehensive office, business management office and MPA Center attended the meeting. Dean Hu Shougeng presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Dean Hu Shougeng made a keynote speech. He pointed out that the development of disciplines is the vitality of the School and is the top priority for the development of the School, and that it is necessary to start from the "top ten keys" to promote the development of disciplines to the next level, focusing on the following tasks. The first is to lay out the development of disciplines in advance; the second is to clarify the development path of each major construction; the third is to concentrate on building the talent team; the fourth is to aim at the superior direction of scientific research to build a high-end think tank platform; the fifth is to keep pace with the times to cultivate high-quality undergraduate talents; the sixth is to innovate the institutional mechanism of postgraduate (international students) training; the seventh is to enhance the reputation at home and abroad; the eighth is to improve the efficient and scientific school governance system; the ninth is to stimulate the ability to obtain open resources, and the tenth is the guidance of high-quality party building thinking.

        Liu Guohua, Deputy Secretary of the School, Cai Huilian, Wang Zhong, Gong Jian, Zhu Jianghong and Li Shixiang, Deputy Deans, and Zeng Wei, Chairman of the Labor Union, made speeches in turn on the work plan and vision for 2022 around the "ten keys" and the work in their respective areas of responsibility, put forward specific advice and suggestions, and exchanged thoughts and experiences.

Finally, Zhang Kuanyu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, made a concluding speech. He pointed out that the “top ten keys” put forward by Dean Hu was a condensed version of the subject "A" plan, for each key, we should define the work ideas, form a work plan and push forward step by step. He stressed that this year is the year of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the crucial year for the "14th Five-Year Plan", so it is crucial to maintain a stable and healthy development environment. In particular, we should do a good job of party building this year, and make early plans to promote it.

The theory-discussing meeting will be held at important work nodes in the future, and the consensus formed by the discussion should be turned into a system to ensure the effectiveness of the meeting and the formation of productivity. The meeting also put forward specific requirements on the preparations for the university celebration, strengthening the work coordination of school office, and the website revision.
