Announcement of the Arrival of Two Deputy Deans in the School of Public Administration

(Reported by Li Jijie) On the morning of Feb. 24, the School of Public Administration held an enlarged party committee meeting in Conference Room 227 of the North No. 1 Building to announce the decision of the party committee of CUG on the appointment of the new deputy deans of the School of Public Administration, comrades Zhu Jianghong and Li Shixiang. Tang Huiming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CUG, Zhang Kuanyu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Hu Shougeng, Dean of the School , and members of the leadership team attended the meeting, and the chairman of the labor union of the School, department heads, branch secretaries and some teachers' representatives attended the meeting. Zhang Kuanyu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Tang Huiming, deputy secretary of the party committee of CUG, read out the appointment document on behalf of the party committee of CUG, appointing comrades Zhu Jianghong and Li Shixiang as deputy deans of the School of Public Administration.

Zhu Jianghong and Li Shixiang, newly appointed deputy deans, made statements. They expressed their gratitude to the university and school for their trust, to the organization for their training, and to the teachers and colleagues for their strong support. “The new post is affirmation and encouragement, but also responsibility and trust. I am very willing to do my part for the development of the School. I will enter a new role as soon as possible, adapt to the new post, strengthen my study, do my job well, and repay the School and teachers with good performance.”

Dean Hu Shougeng, on behalf of the leadership team and the entire faculty and staff of the School, expressed his firm support for the appointment decision of the party committee of CUG and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the University for its long-standing high regard for the development and construction of the School. On behalf of the new leadership team, Dean Hu, solemnly stated: First, we must constantly enhance the "four self-confidence", resolutely support the "two establishment", resolutely achieve the "two maintenance", carry out in-depth study of Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and the Party's innovation theory, and continue to improve the team's political judgment, comprehension, execution and ability to work and start business. Second, we should conscientiously perform our duties, work hard and effectively promote the realization of the objectives and tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan of the University. Third, we should cooperate sincerely, set a good example for the discipline development, serve well, and make every effort to live up to the trust of the university party committee, as well as the expectations of the faculty and students of the School.

Tang Huiming, deputy secretary of the party committee of CUG, made an important speech. He said that the two new deputy deans have played an important role in all aspects of the work of the university and the School, and the university has high expectations, and hoped that the two comrades could get familiar with their positions and put to work as soon as possible. First, he hoped that the Party Committee team of the School of Public Administration could further study Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, learn the Party's line and policy, study the advanced concepts, theories and methods of higher education at home and abroad, master the basic laws of higher education, and accurately grasp the discipline development direction, so as to play a key role in discipline construction of the School. Second, the members of the Party committee team should devote themselves to the work of the School business not slacken their business work, take the lead and play an exemplary role. Third, the members of the leadership team should strengthen coordination, unite and struggle, build a united team and a fighting team, concentrate on one thing and make every effort, carry forward the excellent style of the mass line, go to the masses, and lead the masses to work together for "outstanding, open, harmonious and happy School Public Management".

The meeting also studied and reviewed the division of labor among team members, and determined the qualifications for the open recruitment of deputy dean.
